Fishing Report

Well I am keeping my fingers crossed and we should see the Ocean Explorer come back to Belmar by the end of the week…The installation is almost complete…I will keep you posted….As for this weather well,,it leaves alot to be desired…The good news is the sea bass are coming in thick..The wrecks and rocks are loading up and we are gonna have a good season I do believe…We start May 17th…We have plenty of room available..You can book online or pay on board…730am to 330 pm schedule as of now. Hopefully I will have some pics coming up of the new engines..I am gonna head up Monday and check on the progress..

Some crazy weather we have here,,,beautiful sunny but the ocean is fogged in..We are in standy mode for right now..I was gonna go Fluke fishing this weekend with my other boat and tell everyone so come down but the weather this weekend is not looking good so no fishing this weekend…I will keep you updated..The ocean explorer should be back soon!! With new engines! Keep you posted..

What a beautiful day out there,flat calm warm and just perfect…Fishing was good to us as well..Had good life on the bottom all day long..Blackfishing was good at times with lots of shorts coming up,,Blackfish Bobby actually had his limit…Some just had shorts but the fish were chewing..In between that we had a good pick at ling as well…Lot of nice sea bass came up as well..Looking forward to opening day in a few weeks….Any way,,as for now we are in stand by mode,,I have coast guard inspection on Thursday and after that who know,,We might start fluking or something else..Will keep you updated here..Check out some pics..

Pretty nice day conditions wise today,just a small swell….Started off the in the deeper water with the goal of trying shallower as well..We had some blackfish life,,few keepers came up and some shorts and ling….Not many dogs today at all,,,which was good…But not enough to keep me interested so late morning we headed in to try some shallower stuff and that was a mistake because they did not want to chew for us in there….Pretty dull overall for us….So game plan for Monday is to spend our last day of blackfishing in what looks like great conditions..Our last day because we can not fish on Tuesday dur to the work on the bridge happening..So plan on tomorrow being our last of day of fishing for blackfish until the fall…Then we have coast guard inspection on my new boat on Thursday…

Well there was no lack of bites today,,the dogfish gave us a run for our money..Not sure what caused them to ne so aggressive but they were….We did pick some fish but not as good as precious trips. Teddy was high hook with a limit of blackfish,we had some ling and winter flounder so hopefully tomorrow we see less dogs..Weather looks good so come on down !

You missed a nice day today,,,and the fish were chewing..Lots of bites on the bottom…Blackfish,quite a few but there were alot of shorts you had to weed through to get some keepers….Lots of ling in the mix to,,plus a few codfish,winter flounder and we had some other exotics as well..Really nice day out…Looking forwar to tomorrow,its gonna be a nice weekend so come on down and get in on the action!! We had a pretty nice day until late afternoon,,it was flat calm then the wind started howling out of the south on the way home…Which was good..Fishing was good today but the quality was not there..Caught tons of blackfish,Jimmy was high hook with 2 keepers and 35 shorts and won the pool,but loads of shorts…

Beautiful day to be offshore,good life on the bottom as well.Blackfish,Ling,winter flounder,lots of nice sea bass showing up to look at then release…Check out some pics. Tuesday looks great so come down and fish!

Very nice out there today,,we started with fair life on the bottom but the current started roaring from the north and the bites died..We headed deeper looking for better life amd found it.lots more bites with good amount of short blackfish and quite a few ling..Lots of nice sea bass went back to.. Looking forward to getting back out there tomorrow We are fishing!

We headed off the where the fish have been chewing past few trips and unfortunately they were not chewing there today..It was tough all around,,,some ling and a few keeper blackfish was all we scraped up..Some spots were just no bites at all..So game plan tomorrow is head off in a different direction and look for some better chews..Weather looks very nice,,I am looking forward to getting back out there,so see ya for coffee…
