Monday

Another nice day and the fish were chewing as soon as we stoppped…The blackfish were chewing with shorts coming up around the boat,,some guys even had as many as 30 throwbacks and limit plus of keeper blackfish…Small baits were the key to getting that many fish..Also surprising was the amount of ling coming up..We had a high hook of 29 ling today..Some amount of ling moving into the grounds which is great….I dont like the wind forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday,,gonna be pretty lumpy offshore so no fishing..I have a good amount of maintenance to get done any way so next trip lets plan on for Thursday…See ya then

Very pretty day,,not as good as fishing as yesterday but we caught some fish again,,waiting on pics from the crew but as for Monday,it is looking very good again,,so come on down..Remember we are fishing deeper,,100 feet range so make sure to bring some heavier tackle if the current is running….See ya tomorrow!!

"Booked a whale/dolphin watching tour on the Sea Eagle Belmar NJ. At first I thought the boat was small, and would feel every wave, not the case. We felt very comfortable on the boat. What a day!! Whales! right beside the boat. Dolphins The captain and his first mate were awesome! They had such enthusiasm, when they saw the whales. It was amazing to see that although they are out there everyday seeing the whales, they still get as excited as we did ! I recommend this boat very highly!"

Perfect for First-timers

"My daughter 13, nephew 14, and I had a terrific day fishing with Captain Bob , Anna, and Dave. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience first time deep sea fishing. Everyone on the boat was super friendly and it was not intimidating at all. We brought our own poles and rented as well, we were immediately educated and Dave and Anna were always checking in on us! We caught several sea bass and took home some good keepers. I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to try deep sea fishing but nervous about the “professional” atmosphere- take the Ocean Explorer!"

Great Outing

"This was our first time out on a fishing boat. It was such a great experience and so much fun. The friendly crew was always nearby to help with unhooking our catch, untangling our reels or baiting our fishing poles. The captain was fishing out on desk with us. We chatted with him about bait and fishing. He even baited our hooks with grub- an artificial bait that he was using on his line. I would definitely go out on the ocean explorer again!"

Fun bottom fishing!

"Very welcoming crew including Bobbie the captain. Newcomers immediately made to feel at home.. Never fished.. Hey no problem.. We will help you out.. A mix of regulars with us newbies. No attitudes.. Just fun and determination. The boat leaves most days from Belmar Marina around 7 or 730.. Slightly smaller then some of the others.. This is a fishing boat ladies so it's bare bones.. No food so bring your own and a cooler. No gear.. No issue.. You can rent for like $7 We brought home some Fluke for dinner.. Excellent, fresh and the mates will filet and clean for you.. Remember the tips .. !!! Pick a fun day and take your kid!
